This otherwise drab brown leaf floats on a palette of reflected colors from the the overhead green/yellow foliage and the blue sky. The margins of the leaf creates a lens with the water that captures the sky and frames the leaf with the landscape above. This image is from the pond at the Carl Sandburg home in Hendersonville, NC.
